re-elect a hard-working, experienced and effective Councillor
I am a proud ‘Son of the Rock’ and I have lived in Stirling East ward for most of my life. My childhood home was on Bannockburn Road. I live with my school-teacher wife Anne and our two children in Braehead.
I will always fight to ensure a fair share of resources for Stirling East. I have worked hard to champion investment across the ward, including improvements to cycle paths, pedestrian crossings and walking trails.
As Library and Culture Convenor I have kept all Stirling’s libraries open and I have delivered refurbishment of Bannockburn Library. On the Public Safety Committee I have encouraged Police Scotland to keep a focus on community policing to tackle anti-social behaviour.
I have helped many constituents resolve issues with council services. With your support, I promise to continue to be a strong voice on the Council for YOU. I promise you will never have reason to doubt my integrity or intent. I ask you to put your trust in me to continue to serve as your councillor.

Challenge Rising Living Costs
Council must intervene to ensure incomes are maximized and living cost rises are challenged. Stirling Labour Councillors have already ensured £2 million of extra funding for vulnerable residents in the coming year.
Focus on Education
Resources that match the learning needs of all young people. A secure and supported workforce. Ongoing investment in school buildings and playgrounds.
Defend Local Services
From SNP and Tory Government cuts to local budgets. More staff and better equipment to ensure well maintained roads and pavements, and cleaner streets.
